A OFFICIALS VISIT THE PROJECT FOR APPRECIATION

From 29th to 30th April ,2017,  the Client of work ,Ethiopia road authority(ERA) , organized an joint site visit for necessary appreciation of the project work to figure out and solve the pending issues of the design, specifically the toll system design to ensure a smooth handing over and easy transition /operation of the project  in future to /by the Ethiopia Toll Road Enterprise (ETRE) , after the completion as per the schedule, by the end of September this year .

The 11 members of the visit team are those from two sections of ERA , and Design &Build Directorate(DB, ERA ) .

During the site visit ,the team stopped at some locations along the project road especially the locations selected as tollstations to  check  the work progress and being  briefed the situation by the consultant engineers  from SHANDONG GREAT SUPERVISION CONSULTANT COMPANY.

In the meeting after site visit ,the contractor and consultant both presented to the team the general progress and work plan of the project along with detailed statement and explanation of some particular  issues such as toll system design of the project etc.

The general manager of ETRE and team leader from DB ERA , being impressed with the site work and presentation /performance of the consultant ,praised  the effort  made by all parties and expressed their satisfaction over the quality and progress of the work .

After departure of the ETRE members, the team leader of DB ERA ,  Mr. Warkew ,accompanied by Mr.Zhai,Employer’’s representative and Mr.Hishan the Resident  Engineer.  Mr.Rao, the assistant Resident Engineer, continued the checking of whole project including the laboratory work and participated  the site monthly progress meeting held in the main camp with  the contractor discussing in details of the work as per the agenda of the meeting.
